Le Clos de Benaire

The Island of Jersey UK, which is really closer to France, is this month's Virtual Paintout location.
Found this graveyard here to draw in one of my sketchbooks. There are lots of things in my little sketch books but I rarely show them due to crooked lines and wonky perspective....
both on the art and the artist.

  1. Wonky is good! You should show your sketches. I think this one is really interesting....I like walking through cemeteries and reading all the headstones. I'm a little wonky too!

  2. I just love the soft colors in this one and I've always found cemeteries to be absolutely beautiful. They hold so much life, so much history. A perfect sketch, Gemma. And I always have wonky lines and perspective. Sigh...it is the bane of my existence, methinks.

  5. Thank you for sharing your drawing of the cemetery. A drawing seems to capture something a photograph doesn't. One get's the feeling more of the the soul of a place.
    Hugs to you Gemma!
