Six Word Sunday
Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a short story in six words. His six-word short story was:
"For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
Susan at Bear Swamp Reflections presents a theme each Sunday. We are asked to write our own short story
in six words, no more, no less.
This weeks theme:
Marriages
My story:
"After the honeymoon, we got married."
This is fun word challenge. Try it if you'd like.
excellent, very illstrative.
ReplyDeleteLove it..hoo! And interestingly enough ..I just finished a book of Hemingways Short stories...!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Gemma. Your story is a fine one. I don't know that I could ever write a story in six words, but who knows, I might give it a shot. ;)
ReplyDeleteHemmingway's story is haunting, isn't it?
You always make me LOL Gemma!!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to send you an email, but I am too silly to figure out how to get your address...duh.
THANK YOU for the coloring book!!!
A totally unexpected, wonderful surprize!
I love it, for the fun, the inspiration it will give me, and mostly...because it's from you to me.
How thoughtful and yummy you are!
Amazing what meaning one can convey with only six words. Makes the mind do an entire silent short story. Love the idea!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Clap::Clap::Clap:: I loved that. I don't know if I could do a six word short story. I would really have to give that some thought. Gemma thanks for the short story. :D Have a great week.
