So pretty, and lovingly cared for.
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat all those treasures from the past. As for the lightbox it seems to be helping.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gemma for the nice compliments.
ReplyDeleteHi Gemma. I love treasures like that. I have my Grandma's old and I mean old Signature sewing machine. I did a post on it before. They are indeed treasures that we will have forever. I like that, "a few bits and bogs." Very nice Gemma.
ReplyDeleteThose embroidered pillow cases we took for granted growing up ...
ReplyDeleteI feel so much warmth and love reading your sweet gentle words!
You know I love old treasures, and I have a bunch of them....maybe too many!
ReplyDeleteI love such old treasures - especially things like that beautiful embroidery - so many hours and so much love went into their making. Still have my great-grandma's button box. Things loved and passed down are the most precious kind of treasure...
ReplyDeleteGemma,
ReplyDeleteThose old pillow cases were so pretty and stitched by hand. My mother and mother-in-law had them. Their hands were never idle - always working on something. You're very luck to have them.

Great treasures indeed. I wish I still had some of those fabulous embroidered linens we had when I was little!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked and pleased that my Aunt Mary gave me a set of Grandma's embroidered pillowcases. Of course she threw away the button box - worthless to her - full of memories for me.
ReplyDeleteLovely memories of gentler times.
ReplyDeleteKeepsakes for your heart.
xx
Heirlooms are a special kind of treasure... priceless. And the embroidery pictured is so lovely, so personal and with such heart put into those tiny details. :)

ReplyDeleteTender post. One can tell it comes from your heart. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, the top one arrived in my house today. Thank you very, very much!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. I love it. It's now stuck to the wall above my screen.
