Working in an elementary school library as I do, Children's literature often inspires me.
Reading and storytelling is my favorite part of the job. Students come into the library for a story and then check out library books. It is a demanding yet rewarding position.
The Inspiration Avenue challenge this week is Roald Dahl, who happens to be a favorite children's author.
His book and Matilda is my inspiration most weeks...however because of yummy delicious chocolate,
my inspiration for this challenge came from his book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory .
I made myself the golden ticket!
Lucky me.
Now I can do whatever I want to do!
It's kinda great to have a golden ticket.
I plan to put mine somewhere to remind me to GO FOR IT!
Why not?
It looks fabulous, Gemma! I love the thought process behind it and, yes, a great way to motivate and inspire.
ReplyDeleteI love you Gemma!

ReplyDeleteThis is WONDERFUL- what a great idea! I hope you hang it prominently in your studio so you can see it every day!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous golden ticket it is too, Gemma. I think I would love working in a library. I adore books, to have, to hold, to devour. I never get enough.
ReplyDeleteSo cheerful and inspiring! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was very young (about a hundred years ago) I used to go to the public library on Saturday. It was a very large library with a stage, and a Mrs. Brown told stories, every Saturday on the stage. It was my fav day of the week. Are you like Mrs. Brown? If so, I know the kids love, love you!
