Inspiration Avenue visits Mexico this week.
This little painting is my entry:
I am daily immersed in the Mexican community living here in Arizona. I work at a barrio school, I love the colors and flavors of the Mexican culture.Spicy!! Politically I'm involved in some local struggles and don't like to see families torn apart and children hurt because of racial profiling. Mostly I love the people....and that could be said for all people because we are ONE!
This is a lovely piece! The colours really capture 'sunset' for me. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous colors. Perfect reflection of their vibrant and lively culture.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic Gemma. I posted your cards yesterday, sorry for the delay but it took me a while to get to the post office!
ReplyDeletePerfect Mexican Art. Colorful and spiritual!

PS: I wanted to color one of the pages in that coloring book, but I ran out of time...this theme had so many possibilities.
So simple and colorful! Reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which is more enjoyable, the vibrant painting or your inspiring words. Both are simply elegant.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are right on! The vibrancy is always mesmerizing. I seen Lisa's stools and they came out awesome. Great work Gemma. Have a great week.
