Meet Sage. She has captured my imagination in the garden for several years.
Sage is an annual with small but lovely blossoms.
She takes full sun to partial shade which is needed here in Zone 9
She holds herself proudly even though her blooms are tiny. She is friendly
and gladly gives me stems to make smudges. I often enjoy sitting near her and quietly appreciate her essence.
Gemma, I love your painting! She has such a sweet face. I don't have any sage growing here but we do have rosemary. It has a nice smell, too and it has lavender blossoms!
ReplyDeletePretty. Love her "red" hair. Sweet indeed.
ReplyDeleteLove Sage with her red hair...we redheads have to stick together, you know!
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty! Her eyes are mesmerising ~
ReplyDeleteI love her, you have been painting such wonderful things lately.I am so glad to be able to see such wonderful art.
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet Gemma. I used to have sage growing in my herb garden. I need to pick some up. Perhaps she will come to my garden. I love your painting, awesome. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteand did you know that sage is a healer and also means wisdom & it is THE herb for night sweats of menopause? love sage!!
ReplyDeleteAnd she sure is pretty to look at, Gemma! Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous, Gemma. I love her eyes, so deep and sparkly and full of mystery -- and the exact color of wrinkled sage leaves. :) My sage plants here bloomed for the first time this spring (2nd year after planting), and the bees adored them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful expression on that face. I love her!! Great job, Gemma! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful sage. xoxo
