January roses
Holding their pretty heads up innocently these roses are pure and simple. From precious new little bud, To graceful withered old beauty. ~Breathtaking ~fragrant ~peaceful ~Content
I love your description of the rose past its prime as a withered beauty. Very elegant.
I have a few tiny buds that manage to stand up to the cold and lack of sun here but it really is time for me to prune the bushes back. I think this weekend is that time.
Love the images and your words. I received my spoon yesterday Love it also. Thank you so much. Banna also says Thanks. She has already been gluing and crafting. Love Hugs and Blessings
I didn't know you had this blog too Gemma. Wow, I've been missing out on your posts. Darn!! :) I'm going to add you to my blog list right away and later this evening backtrack on this blog. Thank you for letting me know about the book Lacuna. I looked it up and it sounds like I would like to read that, so I will keep it in mind. Have a great weekend.
Okay I added you to my list, now I'm back. I love roses and have a lot of David Austin roses with such beautiful scent. I love the way they look on the fence. Very nice Gemma, thanks for sharing.
Roses in January? That's just not fair! Remember the quote?: "God gave us memory so we could have roses in December."
