For the latest challenge at
Following the masters
here is my interpretation of Leonardo DaVinci's St. Anne's head.

Leonardo is my hero. Trying to capture the delicate detail and softness of his work is practically impossible. Especially difficult to do the portrait of St. Anne. I tried painting her but ended up submitting this pen and pencil drawing. What a pleasure it is to spend time with his work.

  5. Really good job Gemma.

Is it true you are enjoying 70 degree temps. It is in the low 30's here. OMG I'm freezing. This isn't supposed to happen!

    I love Leonardo too! xoxoxo

  7. Wow - very recognizable. I didn't even need to go look up the original to see how good this is.
