Weekend in San Deigo

This is the view from our hotel;
the San Diego Convention center. Beyond that is the harbor and the beach.
The Gas Lamp district is full of jazz and blues clubs, street artisans, great shopping,
There is fine dining, and all around excitement. Bright red passenger trains cruised down
the railroad tracks from time to time.

Here is my funky rendering of the scene:
Not architectural at all, obviously. It was done on the fly. Just wanted to try my hand
at the interesting building.

  1. I've never been to San Diego. I love your funky rendering! I wish I had some artistic ability.

  2. Wow! Road trip! Lucky you...I'm envious. :)

  3. San Diego. My dad always said it was as close to Eden as he found. I love your drawing, I want to try that too. I only just got back from Pittsburgh...bleh, the name says it all...the pits for sure.
    Dear Frida is on the way Dearest Gemma♥♥♥

  4. I've never been to San Diego. You have just made it more interesting to me! Nice little sketch, Gemma. Well done and oh so much better than I could ever do.
