Paint Party Friday

First of all I was excited to hear about and decided to join in on the fun at Paint Party Friday
Usually I dabble a bit in art by drawing on paper with micron pens.
Sometimes I do a little painting with my twinkling H2O's.
But for this paint party I pulled out a canvas and some acrylics.
What a fun party right?
Right!
Using favorite colors for my palette
Lime green
Turquoise Blue
Dark Midnight Blue
Purple
White
Smeared paint on canvas and started painting not knowing where it would go.
She emerged
with a melancholy look.
I let some water color drip across her hair which adds to the feeling.
This was a blast!
Can't wait to see what you did!

  16. I like her expression sort of bemused & cool. Love the colours you've used. I'm sure there's a fantasy story that would feature her. My imagination is off creating her story....

  25. Her expression defies melancholy to me, Gemma. I think she is just a beautiful woman! And that palette is my favorite too, though admittedly I never tried painting with my favorites. An exercise must do for another day.
