Primitive paper making

With shredded newspaper, leaves, flower petals,a bucket of hot water and a little bit of play time my grandson and I made some cardboard. He wanted to make paper for a class. We followed the directions: shredding, mixing, stirring until creamy, spreading on a screen and rolling out excess water with a rolling pin. Although it is really funky and textured we are loving it!
~It is more like cardboard than paper.
~We just don't care!
~Going to use some of it in a few little projects.
~That plus he'll get extra credit!

What have you been doing?

  2. I like textured paper. That's what I'm doing right now. Painting on very textured paper. I love your paper that you created with your grandson, it's rather cool. Glad you are back. Take care.

  4. That's pretty paper! Pamalala sent me some home made paper once, and it was soft. I loved it. I've never made paper.

  6. I've always wanted to try paper-making....looks like fun! Your grandson would have loved it, I'm sure. :)

As for me, I've been working on the 'wedding tie' box for Michelle's upcoming wedding.

P.S. - I'm not sure if you received my email but I sent your Pay It Forward gift off over a week ago so, hopefully, you will get it any day now.
