Serena's Round Robin Book
When I first received Serena's Round Robin Book I was taken aback by the beauty of her Shiva pages.
The detail and the beautiful patina on metal hearts, intricate beading and sewing on her pages is outstanding.I wanted to do something to compliment her art.Using the same palette I quilted an indian Sun face fabric onto the next page. Then I added bling with sequins, the word SHINE in glitter and added sparkling tulle on top.The following page:Butterfly Journey I did in similar colors and covered with matte tulle.
There is a key attached to the Butterfly page.
HMMMM I started thinking "Hey that looks like the key to my back gate"...
it's not of course. That would've been funny though.

There are many other beautiful pages in Serena's book. What a pleasure it has been to work in this. It is going in the mail.

  6. How lovely all those pages are -- and obviously from the heart. Making a butterfly body out of a key is so inspired -- I'm thinking now of mixing some of my favorite metaphors, unlocked doors and metamorphosis. :)

It's one of those days when nothing seems to be going right and then ...pow...wow...alakazammmm. :D Well you know what I mean. Thank you for your very nice comments about the bangle and I shall return the gesture in the days to come. Take care and enjoy.
