Art Saves Art Heals

Many of you know that I have spent the past few days concerned about my family who have been getting rained on and flooded out. Also I got some other rather bad news Tuesday. Because of those things my stomach has been in knots.

So what do you do when "the world is too much with you"?

Make Art of course.
I finished these pages in Shari's round robin journal.
It was fun, there are lots of little notes for the queen, some bling and sparkle,
even a skeleton hidden in there. While I was working on it I didn't once worry about anything....

  1. So good to know you can find an outlet when life gets overwhelming, Gemma. I have a tendency to shut down and not be able to do anything. I hope things get better all the way around. This is an awesome step in the right direction; the pages are gorgeous!

  2. Art really does do it. A nice trip to Sedona sure could help too. I always find some time in nature to be so healing. You're in my thoughts.

  3. Art is terrific therapy for most things. These pages are wonderful! I love the woman attached with safety pins.

  4. Using our creativity is always a wonderful way to process the hurt and fear and to rise above it -- and in this case, so beautifully illustrated, Gemma! I am loving the safety pins in the Queen's crown. So fun. :)

May all your loved ones be safe in the storm. May all be safe in the storm.

  5. Gemma, I hope your family is safe in the storms and what the other problem may be, I send you good thoughts. That's beautiful your journal pages. That's what I've been doing too, just journaling and taking care of hubby. Enjoy your weekend.

  7. Absolutely wonderful Gemma. I too, love the safety pins. It means one can open and remove anything they don't want at any particular time. Even a crown, which may at times be one of thorns. Please....send this to the girls at Crafting For Health....www.craftforhealth.typepad.com

Your art will influence others as well. xoxoxo
