If I were...
Some of my friends have done this "If I were."
Here is my version and a fence angel:

If I were a month, I'd be September
If I were a day, I’d be Sunday
If I were a time of day, I’d be 5 a.m.
If I were a font, I’d be Santo Dumant
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a tropical fish
If I were a direction, I’d be up
If I were a piece of furniture,I'd be big pillow
If I were a liquid, I'd be water
If I were a gemstone, I'd be a quartz crystal
If I were a tree, I'd be a Palo Verde
If I were a tool, I'd be a paint brush
If I were a flower, I'd be a wild flower
If I were an element of weather,I'd be a sunny day
If I were a musical instrument, I'd be a guitar
If I were a color, I'd be sage green
If I were an emotion, I'd be LOVE.
If I were a fruit, I'd be an orange
If I were a sound, I'd be crunchy paper folding
If I were an element, I'd be Au.
If I were a car, I'd be an ATV
If I were a food, I'd be a fresh picked tomato with basil
If I were a place,I'd be Sedona
If I were a material, I'd be Egyptian cotton
If I were a taste, I'd be chocolate please
If I were a scent, fresh rain
If I were a body part,I'd be lungs
If I were a song, I'd be Somewhere over the Rainbow
If I were a bird, I'd be a dove
If I were a gift, I'd be an art book
If I were a city, I'd be San Francisco
If I were a door, I'd be open
If I were a pair of shoes, I'd be flip flops
If I were a poem, I'd be..

I dwell in Possibility--
A fairer House than Prose--
More numerous of Windows--
Superior--for Doors--

Of Chambers as the Cedars--
Impregnable of Eye--
And for an Everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky--

Of Visitors--the fairest--
For Occupation--This--
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
To gather Paradise--

  1. That is so interesting. A lot of the things you would like to be , I'd like to be. I think I will give it a stab maybe next week some time. Thanks for sharing this, I appreciate what you want to be. Happy Easter.

  2. Yes I listened to the song and I love it. I was saddened when I learned he passed, but he left us this beauty.

  3. You are definitely a creative person with not run of the mill answers. It would take me a LONG while to answer these intelligently!
I'm saddened to learn Ole Iz has passed. His one simple rendition of such a classic touches the heart.

  6. Love your list, Gemma. It helps me to know you better, too. :) I enjoyed listening to the lovely rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow as I read. Artists leave such beauty in their wake, to linger on in the consciousness for who knows how long... and you are no exception! Many times I've remembered a piece of your artwork seen here.
