Palace of Fine Arts
Virtual Paintout traveled to San Francisco this month.
When I lived in San Francisco I used to have personal getaways to the Palace of Fine Arts. I'd sit quietly on the mosaic seat under the dome and contemplate. Often there would be swans swimming there. That was a great thing about living in San Francisco, never a lack of places to go or things to do. I always wanted to paint there but have not until now.
Actually this is colored pencils.
You'll find this view on the google street map. It's on Baker street in San Francisco....and is my entry to Virtual Paint Out this month.

ReplyDeleteHi Gemma. Just getting some time to visit some of my favorite blogs. Really been busy. That is a fine painting of the Palace of Fine Arts. We haven't been to SF in such a long time, I'm almost tempted to suggest it to my hubby. A dinner getaway. I love the reflections. Job well done! You go girl! Oh, congrats on your wins. I too had a couple of wins. Yahoo!:D

A great place to have a wedding. I bet the wildlife there adds to it. So many places inspired by the Greek and Roman architecture. Its a nice drawing. Spiral on! -Tsimajo
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did the shimmery reflection in the water.
