How do I love thee my friends?Love notes in the mail
How do I love thee my friends?
most sincerely so
enclosed sculpted valentine
and message sent 'round the world.
This love note is written in Tanka.
I learned about Tanka from my Synchronizing friend
Ruthie (a form of Japanese verse in five lines of 5, 7, 5, 7, 7 syllables
which is older than Haiku.
Much love to all this day and always.

Gemma, your heart just overflows with love, much like Nina P's. Beautiful embossed Valentines. Hope you feel snuggly and loved yourself on the day!
ReplyDeleteGemma, these soft non-traditional colors of love are so soothing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I did not know about Tanka! At first I thought it had something to do with Wakan Tanka, the Lakota (Sioux) Great Spirit!
ReplyDeleteI too didn't know about Tanka. Learn something new every day on someone's blog. That is a beautiful heart. I'll have to go check out that link and see what I learn. Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are you! I love it. And your tanka comment at sync too!
